Hey, I live in Leander, too! I recently went to Home Depot (in 1431 and Parmer) and told us to plant trees, plum or lemon, both in our base of limestone (L-2 feet below the earth !?!?!). Both are with us. One of our neighbors has a pear that is very good .... Ask the guys grew up in HD!

Citrus fruits do well, I think there is a freeze and die, if the gel. Otherwise, some citrus.
